Artist Tetyana Sheruda considers herself to be a self-taught artist, never studying arts and crafts, She did not participate in any professional or training courses to learn the arts, but was interested in drawing, sewing, crochet and knitting since she was a child. In 2010, when she moved from Ukraine to Jordan, she discovered the art of painting on glass by herself. She was inspired by many mirrors, frames, glassware, plates and colorful cups, and was able to make some works, which she later gifted to her relatives and friends as a kind of gift. Two years later, a school in Madaba invited Tatiana to participate in her art exhibition, and after the exhibition ended, the school director offered her a job as an art teacher and later encouraged her to try different types of handicrafts and applied arts. Every year there was an art exhibition in which Tatiana's works and the works of her students were displayed, as she was making artworks that reflected Palestinian and Jordanian customs and traditions, nature scenes, and concern for the environment. By dint of this experience, she mastered acrylic and oil painting using mixed media, the art of painting on glass, weaving baskets using banana leaves, copper art, burning, wool embroidery, etc. Tatiana received the first requests from her colleagues and friends as well as from visitors from art galleries, and in 2020 her drawings took second place nationally in the competition among art teachers for the centenary of the Great Arab Revolt. By joining the CRAFTS MARKET platform, Tatiana aims that her works reach the world and find the necessary support for the success of her project with the help of this platform, by publishing her work in a professional and advanced manner, which helps her increase her sales volume and continue to be creative in the world of art and handicrafts.
