The traditional industries and crafts sector overcame great obstacles, such as financial, societal, and other cognitive obstacles that affected its career, to an extent where extinction was likely. However, the artist Ahmed Al-Sarayrah insisted on sticking to his craft in the field of woodworking in addition to his skill in drawing on glass, as his craft is the only source of his income, through which he and his family provide a decent living.

The beginning of Ahmed’s journey from childhood was as a hobby, then it turned into an obsession that cannot be disposed of, as he started drawing with pencils and then with oil colors. With the passage of a period of time, it turned to the field of recycling used wood and transforming it into masterpieces, then it developed into using all types of natural wood such as swede wood and beech wood, in addition to industrial wood such as latte wood and compressed wood, until the idea developed in making shapes and Wooden antiques and many accessories such as key rings, candle bases, and custom frames for the entrances to homes, according to the customer's request.

Ahmed works hard to publish his work and try to sell it in traditional ways, but he believes that we are in the age of technology and the importance of e-marketing, so he decided to join the CRAFTS MARKET platform, to help him spread his work and benefit from other support services provided by this national platform that supports craftsmen, such as photographing and displaying products and then shipping them to buyers and for a non-profit purpose.
