The artist, Banan Asmar, with her golden fingers, recreates an art that modernity tried to obliterate, and puts her soul in rigid threads that restore her pulse, as she tried to volunteer handicrafts in spinning the threads and highlighting them as a masterpiece that combines the nobility of the past and the concept of sustainable reality. The art of macrame, which Banan mastered and developed to form a fertile environment that addresses the past from the present, is known as the art of knot or lace, and it is one of the ancient Arab handicrafts, which is considered a single art that alerts the human to the places of beauty in antiques and walls.
Banan started her career in the field of handicrafts while participating in supervising the school's decorations in celebrations, in addition to elaborately making decorations. One of her co-workers suggested that she use her hobby for handicrafts by learning the art of macrame, where she showed her some pictures of macrame works, where she was drawn to the beauty and creativity of those pieces, so she took advantage of the closure period during the Corona pandemic and started watching educational videos to learn this art via the YouTube platform, then she brought the threads and materials needed for work and through threads and some simple materials, beautiful works were made with innovative ideas in terms of design and implementation. Through weaving and braiding the threads artistically, she produced many distinctive accessories and decorative pieces. She also made many curtains, bags, necklaces, lampshades, and paintings, in addition to works that can be used as pendants to decorate different places.
Banan is trying to profit financially by selling her work so that she can face difficult economic conditions, and she believes in the importance of correct marketing for the success of any project, so she decided to join the CRAFTS MARKET platform, to help her spread and market her distinguished works locally and globally, through a platform that aims to help craftsmen develop their projects, and keep them creative.
