Like all handicrafts, the profession of making macrame may be on its way to extinction, but the craftswoman Hiyam Al-Shakhanbeh has another opinion, as she sees that there is a return and a new taste for handicrafts, because she considers it the real industry, and it is the basis that does not invalidate with time.

And about her learning of this craft, Hiam says that the difficult economic conditions she was living in pushed her to learn this craft, in addition to her learning the craft of fringing shemagh, where she received a salary of eighty dinars only from social security, so she had to learn some handicrafts to help her in her life. A decent life, as she is the only breadwinner for her family.

Hiam used to sell her business to neighbors, and by participating in the bazaars in Madaba, and about joining the CRAFT MARKET platform, she says that she believes in her success with this platform with a new and unique idea at the level of Jordan and the Arab world, where she places a lot of hopes in increasing sales through the good marketing of her business.
