After the war displaced her from her homeland Syria, Mrs. Huda Jaber sought refuge in her second homeland, Jordan, and settled in the city of Irbid, north of the capital, Amman. In the difficult conditions experienced by the Syrian refugees, Huda decided to face these challenges by learning a craft that would be a source of income that would help her in providing a decent living for herself and her two children. Huda believes that success is not only limited to obtaining a degree, but real success is facing the most difficult circumstances and staying steadfast, adhering to determination and optimism.

Huda started her journey of learning handicrafts through international organizations, where she learned many of these crafts, such as the straw industry through making baskets and trays of different shapes and sizes from straw, and making accessories, as well as learning how to make pieces and antiques using resin and epoxy, in addition to works using of gypsum board.

The difficulties that Huda faced did not deter her from moving forward with her project. Despite some people’s criticism of her, However, because of the support of family and friends, she continued to offer her creativity by making different products with different tools and participated in many exhibitions and bazaars to expand these works.
