Arabic calligraphy letters have the ability to rise and fall, simplicity and flexibility in changing their forms, so Arabic calligraphy is a flexible art, and these characteristics make it easy to express its movement and mass, so it produces a self-movement that makes the line light in mass and has an independent luster that makes it achieve a visual and psychological sense and a beautiful rhythm, Arabic calligraphy also has special characteristics that distinguish it from others, the most important of which is the abstraction and independence of letters, which makes it one of the most prominent flexible arts.
The artist, Laila Al-Labadi, has been in love with art since her childhood, as she was able to achieve her dream of learning and studying art through her undergraduate studies at the College of Arts and Islamic Architecture, where she specialized in the field of Arabic calligraphy. After graduating from the university, Laila was able to learn the art of origami, and she started her own project in 2017 that aims to spread art everywhere, and she combined Arab art and the art of origami to make many distinctive paintings and accessories, her works inspired by Islamic art, and others are from nature. Laila participated in many bazaars and exhibitions to publish her work, where she got to know new social groups and multiple cultures, but she was facing some challenges such as people not accepting prices, in addition to the lack of capital, but with the support of those around her, she was able to continue her creativity in this field, because she considers it the only source of her income that she relies on to meet her daily requirements and needs.
