While she was studying, Marwa Al-Tarawneh dreamed of studying decoration and design at the university, but she was not lucky in that, so she went to study engineering and obtained a master's degree in it, and worked for a good period in her field of specialization, but as she says she did not find herself in this field, so she decided to leave the work and not to search in the field of engineering again.
After that, Marwa got married and gave birth to a child, whom she named (Ghaith), and she had the relief in her life, and therefore she liked that everything for him be special, so she decided to make his birth gifts on her own, and at that time Marwa remembers that she found the thing she had been looking for for a while and She found her passion in design and decoration. Marwa then started making simple decorations for her house, and when she saw macrame threads, she fell in love with her, and decided to start experimenting with making a piece of macrame, where she made a mirror that she put in her house, which won the admiration of her family and friends, and from here Marwa decided to open her own project for making macrame as home decorations.
Marwa mentions that one of the most prominent challenges she faced was the society’s lack of knowledge of the nature of the macrame work, the extent of effort and time taken to complete this work, and consequently the failure to appreciate the product and reduce its price, in addition to her lack of experience in marketing the products and building a base targeted by this type of arts. And she adds that her joining the CRAFT MARKET platform is a very important step for the success of her project, which is still in its infancy, and it needs a competent authority in marketing and providing all consultancy in the field of business and project development, where she places great hopes for her success and improving her financial status through this platform.
