From the fragrance of the desert in the northeastern Badia of Jordan, and with simple primitive tools, the artist Samiha Al-Samiran made wonderful artistic creations by carving on a basalt stone, and her sculptures draw unique paintings that reflect the heritage of the Badia and tell the history of ancient civilizations.
She did not find a semi-arid desert region inhabited by nothing but solid basalt stones that shape them in their way, making them the most beautiful shapes, to prove that creativity stems from a strong will that does not pay attention to difficult circumstances.
Where her story began in 2013, and of her insistence on being a productive woman capable of bearing the responsibility, to help her family, considering this work as a major source of income, casting behind her society's views of her as a woman working in this field.
Samiha says that she is proud of herself and her craft, which gave her the courage and challenge to be a woman of society in the truest sense of the word, and after joining the CRAFT MARKET platform, Samiha hopes to find support through its marketing her products in a professional manner, as this platform plays a major role in helping craftsmen succeed and develop.
