Artist Suha Hani harnessed her creativity and craftsmanship to make pieces of art that derive from the bounties of the earth, as she recycles and manufactures them to spread the fragrance of traditional art. The straw project is the most prominent aspect of her work, as she focuses on production through the waste of agricultural products. Straw is a material that grandparents used to use and made many tools from it that they benefited from in their daily lives, and despite the disappearance of those tools, she aspires to restore and preserve that craft, and to manufacture various products from it, being environmentally friendly and characterized by ease of adaptation and formation and has many uses.
Suha started from a young age, and because of the poor financial situation she was living with her family, she decided to learn a craft that would bring in financial returns to help her improve her situation, so she joined a training course to teach the straw making, and for her insistence on success and her passion for the love of handicrafts, she was able to master these craft in a short time, and she was able to manufacture many pieces such as straw baskets, dishes, bags, and chairs, as Suha considers that the time has come when those beautiful straw colored collectibles are transformed into crafts that decorate homes, and they have become a requirement for everyone and those who wish to preserve the heritage of their ancestors, despite all the developments in antiques and other crafts.
Suha is looking for an entity that would support her and help her spread her business and products, so her decision to join the CRAFTS MARKET platform was a golden opportunity for her. She pins her hopes on the success and development of her project, by taking advantage of the free services provided by this platform to workers in the field of handicrafts in Jordan, to enable them to continue to develop and innovate.
